What we are about:

                                                       R&D LABS |

                                                                              ADDITIVE  MANUFACTURING |                                                             ADVANCED  THERMODYNAMICS

At APOKRISIS, we do not build for the retail shelf or the spreadsheet. We engineer for the extreme edge of real-world ballistic environments.

Headquartered in Horn Lake, Mississippi, and operating under FFL Type 07 / SOT Class 02 authority, APOKRISIS is an independent research, development, and custom manufacturing laboratory. Founded and operated by a retired United States Marine Corps infantry machinegunner, our mission is driven by a singular mandate: to eliminate the mechanical, acoustic, and thermal vulnerabilities of weapon systems through disruptive signature management technology.

THE MISSION ACCELERATOR

Our flagship architecture, the patent-pending

Integrated Transpirational Cooling System (ITCS),

represents a generational leap over traditional,

static baffle designs.

Where others simply try to

trap gas, we actively redirect

and freeze the thermal

frontier. By embedding

isolated, parallel containment

grids, micro-porous ePTFE

membranes, and sacrificial

endothermic matrices directly into monolithic frames, we arrest the thermal delta that causes signature spikes and structural fatigue. We utilize state-of-the-art additive manufacturing—precision Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) with advanced PAHT-CF composites on our local bench, scaling directly to industrial Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) aerospace alloys. The result is a line of custom-fabricated, made-to-order signature mitigation units that preserve weapon balance, drastically reduce acoustic metrics, and cloak infrared profiles.

THE GENESIS: FROM IDEA TO REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

APOKRISIS began not as a commercial business venture, but as a pure engineering thesis on thermodynamic signature management. The target was simple: solve the intense weight and thermal degradation issues inherent to sustained centerfire automated firing schedules by utilizing custom multi-axis geometry and endothermic phase-change science.

However, bringing a radical ballistic concept from a digital CAD layout to a physical, live-fire operational prototype meant immediately running headfirst into complex federal legal frameworks and manufacturing red tape.

Navigating the NFA Division's registration, manufacturing variances, and strict structural permanence metrics requires absolute precision before a single live round can be chambered on the bench. Instead of viewing this regulatory architecture as an obstacle, we treated compliance as the first phase of our hardening process. We established a fully authorized, home-based manufacturing sole proprietorship, secured our local zoning clearances, and secured our official Federal Firearms License and Special Occupational Taxpayer status.

By mastering the legal coordinates alongside our structural toolpaths, we ensure that every single R&D platform built in our shop is 100% compliant, permanently serialized, and federally logged before it ever enters a deployment pipeline.

OPERATIONAL COMPLIANCE

APOKRISIS operates in strict accordance with all

federal, state, and local regulations.

Every custom working prototype is

serial-numbered to legal depth

and officially registered in the National Firearms

Registration and Transfer Record (NFRTR) via

ATF Form 2 notifications prior to acquisition.

  • Federal Firearms License:

  • Type 07 (Manufacturer of Firearms)

  • Special Occupational Taxpayer:

  • Class 02 (NFA Weapons Manufacturer)

  • Manufacturing Origin:

  • Horn Lake, Mississippi, USA
